Fellow creatives ~ These are a few friends and favorites in the creative field. They are worth a look.
bodylish
Nora S. and her intensely gorgeous bodycare line. She uses essential oils and other natural ingredients to concoct
everything from Peace and Salvation bath bombs to Dude Lube.
caufield clayworks
Kevin is a local ceramic artist who's been making a living at clay for over 27 years. If you haven't met him yet, he's known for his bigger than life presence, his love of fire and firing, and his giant laugh. His functional pots and his gift for teaching you to love clay will improve your life dramatically.
keiko yagishita
Venture to keiko's site to see why I'm massively in love with her contemporary organic screen prints. Seek her out at any show you can. She is hilarious, kind, and good in the business of art.
three fish design
A dynamic graphic-design duo, Caroline and Monica create paper goods with images that blend folk art with romanticism with urban sensibilities. You'll likely find them at every one of my studio shows. They're that fantastic.
sigwarth glass
Doug and Renee Sigwarth currently hail from River Falls, WI. Of course, I wouldn't list them as artists if I didn't truly respect their glass creations. However, they are two of the most genuine people I've met, and that is cause to enjoy their glasswork even more. They invite studio visits, and should be a must-see on your fall art tours.
rox
Robyne, like me, has been making jewelry since she was a wee lass. She uses semi-precious stones and other components picked up in her travels to create her Greek worry bead-inspired necklaces. Her work has been featured in national publications and is carried from the Walker Art Center all the way to NYC. She is such a rox-star.
Keep checking back...I'll add more as fast as I can. If you have any suggestions, I would be happy to see them!
